1Corinthians11:1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
Instead of do as I say not as I do, we should live to be able to say this to our children as well as any new believer or other brother or sister who we see not living for Christ. It may sound prideful to our ears in our culture but it's not. Paul lived a life of humble servitude to God. He really did practice what he preached. If we are so in love with Jesus that we live to please Him then we will follow His example. We will be able to say do as I do because of what He did.
Lord I pray that you would reveal to me any way that I am not living in your example. Help me to take every log out of my own eye before I should speak to anyone else about their speck. Create in me a clean heart O God my Rock and my Redeemer so that I can encourage others to follow Christ by witnessing my example. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN.
