ZEPHANIAH 1:1-3:20
REVELATION 10:1-11
PSALM 138:1-8
PROVERBS 30:11-14
Zephaniah 2:3 Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land,
you who do what he commands.
Seek righteousness, seek humility;
perhaps you will be sheltered
on the day of the Lord’s anger.
As I read this I thought that this is what we all need to do. This is what the church needs to do. We need to humble ourselves and seek the Lord. That is the only way we can do what he commands. We need to seek righteousness and humility. In doing so we will surrender ourselves fully to the Lord and in doing so we will be saved from the Lord's anger. And in being we are also reading Revelation right now I think we need to realize that we are saved from the suffering of those who have not surrendered humbly to the Lord.
Lord, I humbly seek you and your righteousness please direct me and guide me. In Jesus name amen.
Psalm 138
Of David.
1 I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;
before the “gods” I will sing your praise.
2 I will bow down toward your holy temple
and will praise your name
for your unfailing love and your faithfulness,
for you have so exalted your solemn decree
that it surpasses your fame.
3 When I called, you answered me;
you greatly emboldened me.
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
you preserve my life.
You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes;
with your right hand you save me.
8 The Lord will vindicate me;
your love, Lord, endures forever—
do not abandon the works of your hands.
Amen and Amrn…
