Genesis 3:27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to act.
28 Do not say to your neighbor,
“Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you”—
when you already have it with you.
Nothing really jumped out at me today so I looked it over again and these verses speak a little bit to a situation right now where I have been offering to help some people but they have not said anything. So, on noticing that the thing that I have offered to help with has not been accomplished I decided to tell them what I wanted to do to help them. The help was not turned down and things are starting to move in the right direction. I realized now that sometimes it is better to move forward and act when you have the power to do so because many people are not going to ask and when they do ask you need to be ready to respond quickly and see it through to the end. There is more power in action than in words. The process I have started will require follow up and I prayer Lord that you keep my heart and mind aware and ready to respond. Open my eyes to recognize when I have the power to act and give me the discernment to know what when and how to do so.
