January 27, 2024 - Reckless Love

Exodus 4:1-5:21

Matthew 18:1-20

Psalm 22:19-31

Proverbs 5:15-21

Matthew 18:12 “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?

The love of God is so great that He would do things that seem reckless to us. To walk away from the largest part of your responsibility in your job just to chase down 1 sheep who wandered off to some may seem reckless. A heard of wild animals could come in and wipe out most of if not all of your sheep that you left behind in doing that. But His love is so great that there is not 1 person that He does not love and value. The thought of losing even one is unacceptable to Him. Oh how He loves us!

Psalm 22:22 I will declare your name to my people;

    in the assembly I will praise you.

Tomorrow for me and today for this posting is our women's conference at church "This Is Us...Armed with Praise". I am the MC for the event and this verse is my prayer as declaring the greatness of God to all the people that assemble for the event would join me in praising Him. that whatever it is that I say would come from Him. My

Psalm 22:25 From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly;

    before those who fear you I will fulfill my vows.

I have a bunch of things that have run through my head to say at the conference, but I have nothing on paper, and I doubt I will have any time to do much about putting anything on paper. Usually, I go off script anyway. Lord, I pray that from you would come the theme of my praise. You have called me to this through your servant Diane who I can't wait to see again in your presence and praise You with her again. As we fulfill our vow to provide this conference may you bring those to it that you would have there. Open hearts and minds so that all who are there will experience you in a way that their praise would come from all of their heart. Show them your overwhelming, neverendingly, reckless love. That their praise would be free from restraint and so powerful that it brings them to a place of surrendered worship. May all that we do bring glory to You! In the powerful name of Jesus. AMEN!
