JOSHUA 18:1-19:48

Joshua 19:47 But the tribe of Dan had trouble taking possession of their land, so they attacked the town of Laish. They captured it, slaughtered its people, and settled there. They renamed the town Dan after their ancestor.

The final 7 allotments end with another tribe not being able to take possession of their allotted land. I wonder if humbly coming before God in repentance and prayer would have made a difference in being able to take possession of their allotted land. But again we see that God still protects them and gives them another town to live in.

The theme of God's sovereignty and ability to use even our mistakes for our good as His chosen people is of course perfect timing. During my prayer time today as I was praising Him and all these things about Him I was washed in peace and faith. I realize that as I begin my service to God as an elder in my church there are going to be times that could be frustrating, disappointing and even cause some hurt feelings. But only IF I am not trusting in God's perfect plan. His perfect timing, and His perfect power to use even our mistakes for good. His good, His plan, His greatness, His power, all in His timing so there is nothing to be frustrated about, disappointed about, or to take personally.
