NUMBERS 25:1-26:65
Numbers 26:46 (Asher had a daughter named Serah.)
When I read this I wondered why Serah is noted in the genealogy of those who will enter the promised land. I did find out that this is not the only time that she is listed in the listing of the sons of Asher. It is done consistently.
Genesis 46:17 The sons of Asher:
Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi and Beriah.
Their sister was Serah.
The sons of Beriah:
Heber and Malkiel.
1 Chronicles 7:30 The sons of Asher:
Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi and Beriah. Their sister was Serah.
All I have found is that this means that she is a very important person for some reason but not why. I did find the below article about what the Jewish Midrash (Rabbinical interpretations) says about her.
