May 1, 2024 - They Fell on Their Faces

Judges 13:1-14:20

John 1:29-51

Psalm 102:1-28

Proverbs 14:15-16

Judges 14:8 Then Manoah prayed to the Lord: “Pardon your servant, Lord. I beg you to let the man of God you sent to us come again to teach us how to bring up the boy who is to be born.”

I wish I would have know to pray to God to send me someone to teach me how to bring up my children. I learned "train up a child in the way they should go..." and I did what I thought I should but I don't think I knew how to look to God for His plan for their lives.

Psalm 102:18 Let this be written for a future generation,

that a people not yet created may praise the Lord:

I do pray that my children will praise Lord one day and that their future generations will do so and never stop. I pray they would regularly fall on their faces in praise.

Judges 14:20 As the flame blazed up from the altar toward heaven, the angel of the Lord ascended in the flame. Seeing this, Manoah and his wife fell with their faces to the ground.

Many years ago I had noticed a number of people in the bible who fell on their faces and thought that would make a good theme for a worship song. Now I am wondering if there is a topic in the bible trivia book for O.N.E. So here is another one to look Dee.
