1 Samuel 26:1-28:25

John 11:1-54

Psalm 117:1-2

Proverbs 15:22-23

John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Last night I was at a wedding. There were a couple of former youth group kids there. Girls who are not walking with the Lord. Two of them are sisters and their mom was there. She had seen me hugging them and talking to them. Late in the night she came up to me in a state of pretty deep inebriation telling me how she sent her girls to every youth group that was around because it was like free babysitting. She asked if I was "religious" and said that she is not and neither are her girls even through she gave them all the opportunities to make that choice. I pray that they all would come to believe. Her mom died fairly young from cancer and she believes that her mom is in heaven. I tried to point her to Jesus so that she could see her mom again but in the state she was in I don't know if it was received. I pray that God will also bring people into her life when she is sober to point her to Jesus as the way to life and a chance of being reunited with her mother.

John 11:38 Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. 39 “Take away the stone,” he said.

“But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”

40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”

If you believe you will see the glory of God! Hallelujah and Amen!
