September 19, 2024 -Word of God Speak

ISAIAH 30:12-33:9

GALATIANS 5:1-12

PSALM 63:1-11

PROVERBS 23:22

Psalm 63:1 You, God, are my God,

    earnestly I seek you;

I thirst for you,

    my whole being longs for you,

in a dry and parched land

    where there is no water.

I have seen you in the sanctuary

    and beheld your power and your glory.

Because your love is better than life,

    my lips will glorify you.

I will praise you as long as I live,

    and in your name I will lift up my hands.

I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;

    with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

On my bed I remember you;

    I think of you through the watches of the night.

Because you are my help,

    I sing in the shadow of your wings.

I cling to you;

    your right hand upholds me.

I have nothing to say. Today is a day to listen. I read these out loud as a prayer sitting on my bed. I invite you do to the same and think about each statement as you make it. Let the word of God speak to your heart. May your words be a prayer and a song. A song you sing in the shadow of His wings. Cling to Him!

Isaiah

15 This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says:

“In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.

Repentance=rest

quietness and trust = strength

Rest, quiet, strength. The words of our Lord. If only we repent, stop the noise of seeking others instead of or before Him in our troubles. Strength comes to the weak. Weak in spirit, soul, physical and mental parts of our human flesh will only be strengthened by trusting His promises.

16

You said, ‘No, we will flee on horses.’
 Therefore you will flee! You said, ‘We will ride off on swift horses.’ Therefore your pursuers will be swift!

17 A thousand…
